EX5R ROM locations are shown above. It is advisable to note the cable connections, unplug them and dress them out of the way before starting.

If you are unsure about the location of pin 1 on a ROM, examine both ends. One end will have a small cup-shaped indent in the top middle. Orient the ROM so that the legs point away from you and the indent is on the left hand side. Pin 1 is now the lower left pin, sometimes also marked with a dot.
