Finally, power up the EX5, and press and hold the [VOICE] button. Press and hold the [BANK H] button, Press and hold the [PART 8] button. (Alternatively you can hold down the 'Exit' button while you power on which will do an immediate factory reset).

On the EX5R, power up, press and hold the [VOICE] button. Press and hold the [6] button, on the numeric pad. Press and hold the [9] button on the numeric pad. (Alternatively you can hold down the 'Exit' button while you power on which will do an immediate factory reset).

You will be given several options. Press the [F3] button. The EX will reset to factory settings. You can now re-fit the large plate (EX5) or the cover (EX5R) re-connect the cables as necessary (EX5R) and reload your settings. Replacement of the cat is left as an excercise for the user.
